Arts Funding Not Down Everywhere

One often reads that arts funding has been down since the global financial crisis of 2007. Not so at the Smithsonian Institution, where $50 million raised in December helped the mega-museum finish off a very strong year: “The record December take brought the Smithsonian’s 2010 total to $158-million, up from $126.6-million in 2009.”
