No Giving Pledge for World’s Wealthiest

Carlos Slim, the world’s wealthiest individual according to Forbes, won’t be joining the billionaires Giving Pledge:

While entrepreneurs should help to solve social problems and fight poverty, charity isn’t the way to do it, [Mexican news agency] El Universal cited Slim as saying.

At the link, Bloomberg provides no more information than that in their brief summary of El Universal’s report, so we don’t know what alternative to charity Slim advocated, if any. Spanish-speaking Giving Click readers can check the original report; if you learn more, we’d love to hear from you.
