Business West discusses charitable giving with executives from several regional banks, which have “long established themselves as reliable, go-to donors for a host of community endeavors.”

The article says nonprofits petition them for the same reason Willie Sutton robbed them – because that’s where the money is – and describes different ways the banks make disbursement decisions; crowdsourcing, narrowed focus, and opportunities for widest impact among them.
