Nonprofit Boards to Shape Up

January 15, 2011 at 9:01 AM

At Fast Company, Alice Korngold  makes the case for shaping up nonprofit boards in 2011.  She notes that nonprofit boards have been getting greater attention of late, but lists a dozen “red flags” that she claims are still seen far too often. These include “tolerat[ing] low board meeting attendance” and “meet[ing] only once or twice a year.”

The author promises a follow-up post outlining reforms to improve the situation; we’ll try to link to it when it’s up.
