Collaborating Nonprofits to Be Honored

January 5, 2011 at 10:22 PM

From the Foundation Center’s Philanthropy News Digest we learn that “Phoenix-based Lodestar Foundation has announced the twenty semifinalists for its 2011 Collaboration Prize, a national award designed to identify and showcase models of collaboration among nonprofit organizations.” The award is $250,000 to the winning project.

The challenges of working jointly while maintaining focus, direction, and unified leadership are formidable; those nonprofits who succeed in surmounting those challenges certainly deserve recognition. Among the nominees: The Sunset Park Alliance for Youth, based in Brooklyn, Official Giving Click City.
